LOOKING THROUGH TEACHERS’ EYES – INVESTIGATING TEACHER AGENCY

Societal, structural, value-based or economic changes and related to technological developments necessitate a continuous development process in the field of education. In responding changes, teacher agency becomes key factor. This study explores when context reform provides basis for growth it disables potential agency. The analysis is based on empirical data gathered as part large-scale mixed-methods professionalism Estonian teachers. identified strong presence professional knowledge skills among teachers mainly classroom work we argue that this result focusing short-term aims. But prerequisite support so can develop their vocabulary theoretical base.
